Cruise The Narrows Car Show
July 26, 2008

|
The purpose of the Cruise the Narrows is to provide a unique venue for people to show off their toys. Additionally, and most important, the proceeds from the show go to our scholarship fund, which provides scholarships for high school students who demonstrate an interest in the automotive industry. In a time where scholarship award amounts are getting smaller and competition for available funds is increasing, the Cruisers have been able to continue to offer scholarships that are meaningful and benefit a large number of students each year. It’s a great way for the club to give back to the community and encourage students to pursue their dreams.

Huntington Beach Hot Rod and Classic Car Meet
July 26, 2008
Huntington Beach, California, USA |
 |
|
|
Whether doing doughnuts (car tricks with circular maneuvers that include spinning your rear tires), or munching on donuts, tire-shaped breakfast goodies, your newest kicks won't be on Route 66. Cruise slowly, politely, safely and early to Adams Avenue Donuts shop where the sun comes up to an eye-candy feast of the sweetest treats?shiny cars! Donuts, hot rods, stock & classic cars go hand in hand with a cup of coffee on Saturday mornings in a Huntington Beach strip mall, the scene where a weekly tradition billed as "The Oldest, Best Free Car Show in America" takes place.
This Classic California happening began with the Donut Derelicts, a group of four or five car enthusiasts who met at a donut shop each Saturday morning over 20 years ago (in 1986). The coffee klatsch has grown over the years and now includes up to 200 friendly folks who dust off their rare, collector or hot rod cars, driving them to a Huntington Beach parking lot for a three hour car fest. There's never a fee to attend, no club organization, officers or membership dues. Nobody's in charge at this "un"organized Saturday morning social, in fact.

In addition to being the biggest street rod event in the world, the NSRA Street Rod Nationals also has the distinction of being the biggest automotive participation event in the world - bar none! This event is the focal point for the entire street rodding hobby, regardless of what part of the world is called home. In normal NSRA manner, the event includes all of the ingredients to make it a truly outstanding weekend of fun. Included in the agenda of things to do are nearly 380 commercial exhibitors in a giant indoor and outdoor retail trade show, a display of New Street Rod Products, a vintage auto parts Swap Meet covering several acres, a huge Women’s World (Arts and Crafts Show), games for all ages, two nights of live, on-stage entertainment in Freedom Hall, a Builder’s Showcase where the creations of the most renown builders are on display, a special Vintage Air sponsored 29 Below Rodders Show, the Buckaroo Communications sponsored Pros Picks competition, the PPG Outstanding Use Of Color awards, the UPS sponsored Commercial Way, the Mopar Country display, NSRA Vehicle Safety Inspection, and a special Street Rodders’ Church Service Sunday morning. It’s a four day agenda with lots to see, be involved in, and enjoy.
One of the major highlights will occur on Saturday with the giveaway of a brand new, turnkey, 1933 Ford “cabster” street rod Built by Street Rods By Michael to a participant of the 38th Annual NSRA Street Rod Nationals. The winner must be a registered participant of the 38th Annual NSRA Street Rod Nationals, with a street rod on the grounds of the Kentucky Exposition Center at the time of the drawing. Every participant is automatically entered in the street rod giveaway drawing, as well as the drawings for the Super Prizes given away throughout this event.
The 38th Annual NSRA Street Rod Nationals will end in a super awards program on Sunday with the Circle Of Winners display of the award winning vehicles. After the awards are handed out, the Sunday portion of the tens of thousands of dollars worth of Super Prizes will be given to the car owners as the festivities conclude. Sturgis Rally
August 04 - August 10, 2008
Sturgis, South Dakota, USA |
 |
|
|
In a land where bison once thundered across the prairie, modern-day cowboys rumble across the land on iron horses. Each August, hundreds of thousands of motorcyclists journey to the Mecca of the motorcycling world: Sturgis, South Dakota.
The legacy of the Sturgis Rally began in 1938 when J.C. "Pappy" Hoel, a local motorcycle shop owner, and some friends came up with the idea of holding a motorcycle race and stunt competition. The first event consisted of 19 racers at the half-mile track and some dangerous events such as board-wall crashes, ramp jumps and head-on collisions with cars. Now, some 61 years later, it's the granddaddy of all motorcycle rallies and races. The small community of Sturgis has welcomed motorcycle enthusiasts from around the world for racing, tours of the beautiful Black Hills, concerts, trade shows and bike shows. It’s a week of fun and laughter and spending time with people who are as passionate about motorcycles as you are.

Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance
August 17, 2008
Pebble Beach, California, USA |
 |
|
|
Once each year, on a Sunday in August, 175 of the most prized collector cars in the world roll onto what is often called the best finishing hole in golf — the famed eighteenth fairway at Pebble Beach. Tire meets turf and transformation occurs: the stage is set for one of the most competitive events in the automotive world. The occasion is the prestigious Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
The Concours is not a contest of speed, but of excellence. Automobiles are judged for their historical accuracy, their technical merit and their style. And the best garner reward and recognition.
Thousands of enthusiasts are on hand to celebrate these cars and enjoy the company of others who share their passion.
The 2007 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance featured the marques of Aston Martin and Auburn, Cord, Duesenberg, and celebrated the 75th anniversary of the iconic 1932 Ford. A special class called the “10-plus Club” focused on cars involved in the early push to power, cars with engines displacing 10 liters or more. Not one but two classes honored preserved automobiles; in addition to prewar cars, there will be a new class for cars from the postwar era. And there was a class for Brooklands race cars.
The 2008 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance will feature Lancia and Lamborghini and celebrate the centennial of General Motors, and there will be several other special classes, including a class of early London to Brighton Veteran Car Run participants.

Harley Davidson 105th Anniversary Celebration
August 28 - August 31, 2008
Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA |
 |
|
|
I want to welcome you to another great 2008 Bike Event! From motorcycles/accessories, vehicles/accessories, trailers/accessories, sound systems, clothing, jewelry, - our exhibitors list goes on and on.... The upcoming 105th Anniversary Celebration in Milwaukee is quickly rumbling it’s way closer and is looking to be just as HUGE as the celebrations that have come before with Harley-Davidson.
We are proud to represent the Italian Community Center Parking Lot for the 2008 105th HD Anniversary in Milwaukee, WI, August 28-31
Anticipation and excitement levels continue to rise for this event. It’s the coming together of thousands of biking enthusiasts from all across the country from every walk of life imaginable!!!
“Rumble towards Milwaukee on one of 25 routes that stretch across the entire country. 80 additional starting points along the way make this the largest Harley-Davidson ride ever.”
http://www.harley-davidson.com/wcm/Content/Pages/Events/105th/105th_landing.jsp?locale=en_US
“The Harley-Davidson 105th Anniversary Celebration will probably prove to be one of the rowdier festivals on the Milwaukee lakefront -- and elsewhere throughout the city. During this stretch in August it's never uncommon to hear the rumble of a Harley (or maybe ten of them), no matter what time of day, or night, it is. With the new Harley-Davidson Museum set to open in July, this year is certainly not going to be an exception.”
http://milwaukee.about.com/od/festivalsevents/qt/HarleyFest.htm
“A Good Investment
A few international legs of the Open Road Tour are still to come, but Harley has already judged the event a success. Attendance numbered from 30,000 to 50,000 for each venue, which means the ticket revenues alone brought in $8.25 million to $13.75 million for the U.S. and Canadian venues. And that’s not counting sales from food and beverage, apparel and souvenirs. “Much of the investment has been offset by revenues,” Watson concludes.”

Festival Promotions is proud to continue to be host to the fastest growing events on the East coast - make sure you are also part of them and I look forward to seeing you in Milwaukee for this monumental event ?

Come to the Burke Lakefront Airport for three days of flying festivities. There are flight simulators, static aircraft, educational displays, aviation souvenirs and more.
The Cleveland National Air Show has a volunteer Board of Trustees comprised of approximately 40 business and civic leaders who contribute their time, energies and acumen to present the best Air Show possible to the Greater Cleveland area.
Reaching east to Erie, PA; south to Columbus, OH; and west to Toledo, OH the Cleveland National Air Show is one of Northern Ohio's largest regional events. The show celebrates not only Cleveland's role as "Host to the Golden Age of Aviation" during the 1929-1949 National Air Races but also Ohio's role as the "Birthplace of Aviation" more astronauts (21 at last count) have come from Ohio than any other State in the Union including John Glenn and Neil Armstrong. Ohio is also home to Orville and Wilbur Wright who painstakingly researched, invented, developed and perfected manned powered flight in Dayton, Ohio.
Each year dozen's of non-profit and charitable organizations conduct substantial fund-raising by operating concession stands and providing manpower in ticket booths, parking lots and other duties.
Through it's supporting Foundation, the Cleveland National Air Show annually maintains the Marjorie Rosenbaum Aviation Plaza -- a striking tribute to exhibition aviation at Burke Lakefront Airport, and awards scholarships to Cleveland-area youths with financial needs pursuing aviation or aerspace degrees.
