OKTOBERFEST BLOCK PARTY Celebrate all things Bavarian with German music (Oompah!), German food, and, most importantly, German beer! The Oktoberfest Block Party celebration includes authentic German music entertainment provided by The Romantics. The Romantics will perform traditional German “oompah” music, a lively and energetic genre of traditional German folk music, from 5 to 6:30 PM. The Dyer Davis Group, a crowd-pleasing high-energy band that blends Blues, Soul, and Rock-N-Roll, will follow from 7 to 9:30 PM. Oktoberfest is free and open to the public and will offer authentic German food like bratwurst, sauerkraut, Bavarian pretzels, live music entertainment, food trucks, and everybody’s favorite adult beverage - beer. Lots of beer! Raise a stein of a traditional Munich beer, Hofbrau Munchen, a superbly well-balanced Lager, or another popular beer. And There'll Be Wiener Dog Races... Who knew?! Back by popular demand! Last year was so much fun! This Oktoberfest will start with the 2nd Annual Wiener Dog Derby! From 3:30 to 5:00 PM, there will be two division races in the Wiener Dog Derby: Division 1: Pure Dachshund Breed (no mixed breeds). Division 2: The "Wiener Wannabe" Division - open to all small breeds that can fit into the starting gates comfortably and safely. There will also be a costume contest for all-size dogs!
